Seagulls and harbour
Illustration, Painting, Printmaking

I paint mostly in watercolour and inks loving their free flowing and bright translucence. My style is quite illustrative, there is usually a narrative in my work as I search for the mood and personality of a place, person or seagull.

You will find an eclectic mix of work in my studio as I like to work in a range of media, though I always keep coming back to watercolour. I spent two years studying and developing my practice with Newlyn School of Art. My passion for Cornwall remains, though the pandemic has meant less chance to visit and to indulge in sketching and painting on a clifftop. More time though for other things - I'm now tutoring and have been able to further explore portraiture and printing in my studio.
