I started oil painting in 2018. The versatility of oils excites me, allowing me to express myself freely and explore different techniques of applying colour and creating texture and movement. I love to use a palette knife and scratch or flick paint. Recently I have started to experiment with acrylics, inks and oil pastels, and this has opened me up to yet more exciting ways of painting and a whole new range of unusal tools to paint with.
My work is a response to the landscape and flora that inspires me and I want my work to connect with people, evoking feelings and memories.
