I live and work in rural Herefordshire, right on the border with Worcestershire, in the small village of Colwall. My daily practice involves painting, mainly with inks, on a variety of surfaces including paper, canvas, wood and fabric. I would describe myself as a Botanical artist, inspired by the ever changing nature of flowers and the seasons. Having lived and worked as an Artist in Australia for almost a decade, the fauna and flora of Adelaide still inspire my work today. I also design fabrics, inspired by my paintings, these bespoke designs become unique soft furnishings and lampshades for floral inspired interiors. I also teach weekly workshops for a wide variety of age groups and abilities. Having trained as an Art teacher, my teaching plays an important role in my continued development as an artist. My studio is a converted stable and coachhouse in the garden of my Victorian Cottage. It has been a labour of love but today it inspires those who visit. I look forward to welcoming visitors to my studio for the third year in a row and this year I will be joined by landscape artist Tia Lambert.
