Depending on who you speak to, I am either a multi skilled creator, or a 'butterfly' who is not able to keep to just one discipline. In reality both are probably accurate. I enjoy the challenge of perfecting techniques, and being able to utilise them in my own work. Fortunately or unfortunately, this often means I go off on a tangent, only to discover even more fascinating avenues to explore.
I love colour, precision and symmetry and these can be seen in the items I make, especially the small beadwork jewellery which is made bead by bead with needle and thread.
My crochet work is vibrant and I enjoy seeing each individual stitch develop into beautiful and complicated patterns. I am currently trying to master the art of Amigurumi - which is the Japanese art of crocheting small creatures, although I have to admit that small is quite a challenge for me, as most of my projects are usually quite large.
My paracord accessories have been tried and tested by many local horse and dog owners who have been pleased with the strength and quality of the reins, straps, collars and leads. I have made instrument and camera straps, all of which have been highly recommended.
Visitors to the studio will be able to see a range of my work both on display and for sale. I will be working on projects during the Open Studios Event, and will be happy to demonstrate and to answer questions and techniques. I do not have a website but you can follow me on Facebook by clicking the link below. Please contact me if you would like further information about my work and my studio.
