My interest in art was formed at an early age but has developed following my retirement and I have the time to focus on my chosen interests. I have always been drawn to the final detail of subjects, especially from the natural world and I particularly enjoy the challenge of creating a range of designs to capture the essence of colour, shape, perspective, form, shade and texture. I have found coloured pencils the ideal medium to express my creativity, whilst not precluding other suitable media.
My work has been exhibited by the Society of Botanical Artists at The Mall Gallery and their exhibitions at Westminster Hall in London as well as a range of local exhibitions in the Midlands, including Stratford Upon Avon Society of Arts.
