I have been making marks and splashing oil paints around for a longtime.
My work sits snuggled between Abstraction and Realism, dashed off in vibrant lively oils and charcoal.
On a serious note, I am treading a well travelled trail responding to my own struggle as I battle personal limitations and trying to push what is possible with an ever changing and challenging process.
Obviously there are influences here from Sickert to Eardley and Freud to Auerbach, and numerous others.
With time and luck and much practice these influences recede as I make my own individual mark, and hopefully continue to gain some ground in this exciting and often exhilarating pursuit.
