My work is extremely varied, in theme, form and choice of materials used. I am interested in the human figure and the effects that emotion, movement, freedom and constriction have upon it, and this is explored through my more abstract work, usually in a 3D form, but increasingly as drawings. I love flowers and gardens and these are also hugely inspirational to my work, as is playing with words.
I love colour, pattern, shape, repetition and form. I rarely work from drawings or photographs. The act of engagement and creating is a prime influence for me, followed by the pleasure of attaining a result.
I work in an art/craft capacity enabling certain groups to attain satisfaction from what they can create, and have, on application, occasionally done this for interested individuals.
I show regularly at Showborough sculpture gardens and Worcester open studios, and have been part of other exhibitions.
