I studied fine art at Oxford University and printmaking at the Royal College of Art, London. With a heightened colour palette, gestural mark making and layering, printmaking still influences the way I paint. My travels at home and abroad have led me to try to capture coastal elements in my seascape paintings. I work instinctively and intuitively, working in families of paintings, moving from one to the other. I build them up gradually and become attached to the ordinary and the extraordinary, as they become semi abstract. My art work has been exhibited extensively and further examples can be seen on the Bridgeman Art Library.
