Worcestershire Open Studios, the well-loved annual event, returns 19–28 August. The largest free art event in the county has more studios then ever taking part this year – 97 venues will showcase 128 artists with over 40 artists taking part for the first time.
Artists welcome you into their homes or studios for you to see behind the scenes into how they make their work. All studios are free to visit. There is a diverse range of artwork to see – painting, sculpture, printmaking, jewellery, ceramics, photography, textiles, woodworking and lots more.
Experience the joy of looking at local art, to see what’s happening in your area, to meet the vibrant and creative makers we have in our county. Learn and ask questions, see the tools and materials artists use, see demos and in some cases you may also have the chance to have a go. The artist's work will be on display with the chance to buy original art. Many artists will have prints, cards and gifts for sale too.
Artists couldn’t be more excited to be opening their doors to meet you! The event will run again over ten days this year – following the success of last year’s longer event – giving you more opportunity to visit the artists taking part. Check the individual artist's pages for their opening times as not all artists are open every day. You can also search for artists by location or artform using our location map to plan an inspirational day out around our beautiful county.
Our printed guide will be available to pick up from libraries and Tourist Information Centres around the county from July onwards.
