Beginners will learn the essential skills to create their first mosaic; selecting appropriate base material, design planning, cutting tiles, use of adhesives, tile placement (andamento). Learning as you create, with positive support and guidance along the way. Expect to produce a piece of work of approx. 20-25cm (square, rectangular, circular).
Those with some experience will have the opportunity to expand their skill set, working on a more complex/larger design.
You will have a choice of base material and a wide selection of mosaic tiles at your disposal. Feel free to bring along any other material you might like to incorporate (crockery, shells, jewellery etc).
Small group size (max 6 places per workshop).
You can sign up to both the Saturday and the Sunday workshops (subject to availability) if you would like to tackle a larger project.
Hot and cold drinks - and more importantly cake - will be on hand, but please bring your own lunch.
