Hello - Growing up in Cornwall, I spent much of my childhood wondering beaches and vast landscapes, forming a deep connection with nature. Later living on the east coast of Scotland I continued this pattern constantly creating and making from what I found. These experiences planted the seeds for my love of art and the natural world.
In my practice today, using inks, charcoal, oil, acrylic and powdered pigments, I blend textures and layers to capture both the visible and invisible movements of the landscape. My work invites viewers to pause and notice the subtle details – the flutter of a bird, the sway of grasses, the ripple of cornfields – that often go unnoticed. These elements of nature are not mainly decorative, they are the essence of the world around us constantly shifting and alive.
I have recently exhibited at Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens in Cornwall which marked a significant step in my artistic journey. I also exhibit in Cheltenham and the surrounding area.
I strive to bridge my past and present, offering a dialogue with nature that invites others to see the world with fresh eyes.
