I studied jewellery and silversmithing at Middlesex University. I currently work with silver, mixed metals and precious stones creating unique pieces. I take inspiration from the colour and form of stones and from the simplicity of archaic jewellery. Recurring shapes and themes run through my work and I am interested in the relationship between the unyielding nature of metal and the organic shapes of stones. Although I start with a specific idea, the process of creating often throws up interesting accidents and diversions which are integrated into the final piece. My art work focuses on nature and abstracts.
