As an artist, I find inspiration in the natural beauty of landscapes, seascapes, and big skies. Growing up in rural Worcestershire, I developed a deep appreciation for the expansive landscapes that surrounded me. As a child, I had a special place at the top of our lane where I would sit and could see for miles; it was exhilarating, like being on top of the world!
However, living in the landlocked Midlands does give me a hankering after the sea. I often visit the coast with my sketchbook in hand, seeking to capture the true essence of a particular place in my paintings. My preferred mediums are oils and acrylics, through which I enjoy exploring abstract and impressionistic techniques. I often work with a limited palette, but also enjoy experimenting with exciting colour combinations and different mark-making implements to create unique pieces that express the light, beauty, and emotion of the landscape under the changing skies.
My aim is to create affordable artworks for lovers of the coast and countryside that will enhance any home, inviting viewers to experience the same joy and wonder that I feel when surrounded by nature.
