I am a professional artist who spends half of my week making my own work and half of my week teaching others how to improve their artistic skills. My own work is a combination of oil painting and drypoint printmaking which I combine to produce intricate finished work that is individual, beautiful and intriguing. Most of my work is portraiture but this includes a combination of people I know and imagined people. Imagined people give me the opertunity to use the portraits to convey ideas and express concepts through the portrait and not just be representations of people. It is important for me to do more with a portrait than looking like the person.
