I have loved painting for over 40 years with a couple of gaps....starting in watercolour with realistic images, moving through loose work in acrylic to mixed media abstract work. Having spent years in the South of France I think osmosis has given me a heightened sense of colour which punches out of my recent paintings. I paint intuitively often inspired by my photographs of landscape, buildings and faces. For many years I sculpted large portrait heads and this love of the human face has stuck with me but now much more colourfully!
