Hello I am Talei, a silversmith and jeweller working between Malvern and Minchinhampton.
Always drawn to texture and colour I work in silver, a wonderful medium that can be shaped and textured in so many ways with the help of a hammer and a little heat. I enhance this silver jewellery with translucent enamels and semi- precious gemstones.
I'm a member of Three Benches, a collective of jewellers who met when sitting at three adjoining benches at Malvern Art College. We work, eat cake and laugh a lot at our shared workshop in the garden of a C17 thatched cottage in Malvern. We share the satisfaction of the perfect hammer or bench peg and we all love doming blocks, bezels and bevels.
