I studied a BSc Hons in Textile Design at Huddersfield University, specialising in weaving. I taught in FE for over twenty years before becoming a freelance textile artist. Local landscapes and architecture are the inspiration for my designs which are painted with dyes and embellished with free-motion embroidery. The work I produce for the public sector is created using mixed-media; painted textiles, applique and embroidery, and is usually on a large-scale.
I am available for workshops, talks and demonstrations. I also produce work for private commissions.
