My name is Mandy. I'm a self taught abstract artist. I started painting only about four years ago. I wanted something for my own home and wanted to take my time before I bought. Then while visiting my family in Tasmania I fell in love with the work of aboriginal people. It really touched me and I felt totally inspired. Dot art was for me!!
I display my work in Worcester and Birmingham in various venues... Including The Birmingham Contemporary Art Gallery.
I'm lucky to have my studio built by my partner in my basement. But will be showing my Art on the ground floor of my house for easy access if anyone would like to come and have a chat about my work.
Acrylic paint gives me the ability to build up layers to give texture to my work. And I Love bright/bold colours!!
