I use my science background to create unusual kiln-fused glass jewellery and enamelled copper jewellery. These are 2 very different techniques which produce a wide range of styles, from every-day fun colours to more formal jewellery. These are created in 2 different kilns which you can see in my studio, as well as examples of the techniques. If I'm not too busy with visitors I can teach you how to cut glass too!
Throughout the year, I offer classes in glass fusing, enamelling and stained glass alongside my husband, Chris, who is a slipware potter who also teaches classes. My classes are not just for jewellery - you can make glass coasters, sun-catchers or Christmas decorations etc too. Our classes are private classes from 1-1s up to 8 people from a short 1.5 hour taster session up to whole day courses and we can combine our crafts for bespoke courses with flexible timing.
Over both Open Studios weekends (19,20 & 24-28th Aug), our work will be available to browse around the garden (there will be loads to see!) and in our studios where we can explain the processes. We are officially closed on the Mon, Tue and Wed but if you get in touch we may be available to open for you on those days too.
