Collage, Drawing, Mixed media, Painting, Sculpture

This year I shall be joined in my home/studio by fellow artists: Gemma Griffiths, Erin Conel, Deborah Catesby and Stella Downing.
My recent work frequently includes elements of collage and has, in some cases, taken its initial inspiration from a range of different poems or simply one line of a poem which has both a strong aural and visual appeal for me.
Birds, both British and more exotic, have also been a recurring theme and I have also been exploring different ways of depicting flowers and gardens.
The recent birth of a baby in the family prompted me to get out my crayons and create a name picture incorporating an exciting range of unusual, colourful creatures, objects and flowers to depict each letter. I am happy to create similar pictures on commission as new-baby gifts.
