My art is melting glass rods in the flame to make unique glass objects. I create pendants, beads, collectible mini floral and ocean paperweights along with vortex marbles, sculptural birds & animals. I also make keepsakes which include the ashes of a beloved relative or pet. These are commissioned items and I am always willing to discuss your requirements with you.
During the Open Studios event I will be demonstrating some of the techniques and equipment I use so you will be able to see what is involved in making lampwork items. If you are interested it might be possible for you to 'Have A Go' at lampworking yourself, depending on how the busy the studio is when you visit.
As I have already mentioned I really enjoy helping others develop their lampworking skills and run lampwork tuition sessions, both for beginners and more advanced student. Full details of my taster session, beginners and intermediate tuition are available on my website. www.lighthouseglass.co.uk
Visitors to the studio will be able to view my work, a selection of which is available for sale both in my studio and on my website: www.lighthouseglass.co.uk
I have taken part in Worcestershire Open Studios for several years and I am looking forward to being able to welcome people to my studio to take part in this exciting event which showcases the talent and expertise that Worcestershire has to offer.
