I have always enjoyed wearing silver and now I love the process of creating something special from a piece of wire or a sheet of silver. Most of the jewellery I make is in silver, brass, copper, and gold.
I work from a studio in Malvern with other artisan silversmiths and jewellers I met at Malvern College of Arts. This year I am exhibiting with Talei Herbert. We call ourselves the ‘THREE BENCHES’ as it brings back memories of our time at college when sat side by side on our work benches.
My handmade pieces are created in silver, they are hammered, shaped and textured, often with brass and copper accents. I occasionally add gold but I am always drawn to silver. I like the way it looks and feels against your skin. I enjoy the process of making as much as I like the finished piece.
You are welcome to join us to see our jewellery, the tools we use and watch demonstrations in the garden studio of my C17th thatched cottage in Malvern.
