I use my science background to explore different techniques for creating unusual fused glass and enamelled copper pieces.
In fused glass, the glass is cut and layered, sometimes with inclusions, and fired in my kiln. Enamelling is where powdered glass is sifted onto copper shapes and fired briefly, multiple times to create layers and textures - each piece completely unique. You may have a go at cutting glass at our Open Studio and see lots of examples of my own glass jewellery as well as what you could make in my classes (not just jewellery!).
My husband, Chris, is a slipware potter and our garden, gazebo and studios will be full of our work for sale for you to browse and we will be happy to chat about our crafts and our classes.
If you can't make it on these Open Studio dates then we have a gallery area open by appointment and we run our classes throughout the year - you can visit my website for details: www.sarahgreeningglass.co.uk
