I'm a completely self taught textile artist and sewer, finding the freedom of experimentation with textiles allows for amazing results. I like to incorporate real flower petals, leaves and foliage within the textile paper and add details to pieces using free motion embroidery. My ongoing exploration lies with using natural plant dyes and cyanotype printing with fabric. I enjoy running workshops inviting attendees to play and experiment within different textile mediums.
My studio is also home to my slow sewing business 'Delilah And The Moon' where I create whimsical, boho and eco accessories for children, family and home.
When I'm not in the studio I regularly attend markets and events and also spend my time teaching sewing workshops in educational settings.
Throughout Open Studios I will be running demonstrations and welcome you to come in and see what I do. There will be work available to purchase daily.
