As an established fine line ink and watercolour artist, I’ve had many solo exhibitions presenting my various Collections which include, Birmingham and Midlands, Cheltenham and Gloucestershire, Ludlow and Shropshire, National Trust, Croome Court, International and Worcestershire (Eastnor, Malvern, Pershore and Worcester).
I have a unique style. I love the contrast of clean fine line ink against the watercolour. I emphasize the subject building with paint leaving its’ landscape in mono ink line work. I see colour in everything and I use it intensely injecting life into my work. I take advantage of the myriad of wonderful mounts and frames available, that if selected correctly can just make a piece ‘pop’.
I have been privileged to receive commissions from organisations such as the National Trust, prestigious Hotels and undertake a lot of private residential work. My work is used for a wide variety of applications, by hotels for room decoration and colour styling, restaurants and retailers for branding, property developers to enhance applications, as well as book covers and promotional material. Private commissions are very popular and come from all over the world as I can work from a customer brief and photographs. I also work with a local professional drone pilot to obtain images from different angles and perspective, an unusual angle can completely change a relatively plain building.
For this year’s WOS’s I will be holding the event in the grounds of my new home studio in Pershore.
The studio itself houses all my non exhibited original work and is where I hold private viewings and discuss commission work. For the event I will display the majority of my Collections, available as original watercolours, limited edition prints, greeting cards and other formats.
When not talking to visitors I will be painting live, as you can imagine there are lot of buildings on the wish list. Please come and have a chat about my work, my inspirations and influences as I love speaking with other artists and art lovers. There may well be some refreshments too!
My event location is outdoors but with ample weather protection, visitor seating, hand railed steps to front and wheelchair access (by special pre-appointment only). We are dog (on leads please) and child friendly. The Chestnuts, 1 Worcester Road, Pershore, WR10 1HQ. All credit cards, cash and smart payments taken, as well as reservations, collect later and delivery services.
In July 2021 myself and my husband Chris, opened a permanent Gallery at 51 High Street, Pershore, which amongst our regularly changing local guest artists and picture framing service is a showcase for my work, where you will find my creations throughout the year.
