call for entries 2023 now openWe are delighted to announce that Worcestershire Open Studios 2023 will run over 10 days from Saturday 19 August to Monday 28 August.

Open Studios is a great way to get your art work seen whether you are an established artist or just starting out. 

Opening up your studio gives a unique view into how you work.  Visitors are genuinely interested, and it's an opportunity for you to sell your work and to build connections for future commissions or opportunities. 

You will be featured in the printed event guide and web pages, plus our website also gives you a year long online platform to present more detail about your art practice.

What does Worcestershire Open Studios 2023 offer?

  • Participation in the Open Studios Event over ten days. You can choose to open for just one weekend, both weekends plus any number of weekdays. This will give visitors the chance to visit more studios, more opportunities to show your work plus the potential for artists to visit each others studios.
  • An entry in the printed event guide. 12,000 copies were circulated across the county during last year’s event.
  • An event page on the WOS website detailing your open studios venue, where visitors can find you, your opening hours and all about your event and what people can expect to see.
  • A profile page on the WOS website for the year where visitors can view your work, videos, contact details and links to your social media - it's like your own personal website!
  • Central promotion of the Open Studios Event to previous visitors, other county and local art networks, local publications and through social media.
  • Posters, printed guides and handouts for your own promotion of the event.
  • Customisable promotional literature for your own use.
  • Participants logo for use on social media.
  • Road Signage to be used during the August event.
  • Opportunity to add listings all year round for workshops that you are running or events that you are taking part in.
  • The opportunity to apply to have your work shown on a poster in Malvern’s Exhibition Walk (a small additional fee to cover poster printing costs will apply).
  • Notification of wider opportunities brought to our attention by other organisations.

 

Applying to take part in Worcestershire Open Studios

Worcestershire Open Studios is open to applications from all artists living or working in Worcestershire or artists that have a studio in Worcestershire. Your open studios venue must be in Worcestershire.

Artists must apply for the Worcestershire Open Studios event as an individual. Entries from third parties on an artist’s behalf will not be considered.

You can exhibit with other artists at the same venue. The website software will automatically group artists together when you enter your location information so that visitors know there are multiple artists at the same site.

Fees

The fee for taking part in Worcestershire Open Studios is £118 per artist.
If you are aged 30 and under in 2023, a reduced fee of £70 will apply.

In order to apply you must first sign into the WOS website. If you took part in WOS last year your username and password details for the website are still valid. If you are new to Worcestershire Open Studios, or you took part in 2021 or earlier you will need to create a new account on our website.
